The EEOC announced a federal lawsuit against Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast last week. They say the company discriminated against men when it planned a two-day networking trip for women employees only.(snip)
According to the complaint, filed in U.S. District Court in New Hampshire, about 250 female employees attended the event, which was held at the Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort in Connecticut. “Coca-Cola Northeast privately invited female employees and then excused the female employees who attended the event from their normal work duties on Sept. 10 and 11, 2024, and paid them their normal salary or wages without requiring them to use vacation or other paid time off,” the EEOC stated in a press release. The company did not invite any male employees to the event.(snip)
A male production employee at the company filed the lawsuit, and the EEOC complaint argues that he and other male employees would have attended the event if the company had invited them.

Always laughed at women only engineers events at a b8g company. Must be...obnoxious.
Do you feel tempted to file a lawsuit going out the door?
A two-day networking trip for women employees only.
An old joke about cups to nasty to post there.
This is only OK if on one day there is all boys and another all gals.
Anything else is obvious discrimination and those who organized it need to go to jail. Yes, jail. It is always individuals who do this sort of crappola and until it becomes normal to jail those who break the law NOTHING will improve.
Imagine the ruckus if there were a “whites only” event sponsored by a public funded organization.
