I spent 23 plus years on the military and during that time we had extensive training on many aspects of nuclear material handling, especially before 91.
One of the tools made aware to all was the Nuclear Emergency Support Team (NEST). This isn't necessarily a military unit but the make up of the team is dictated by the situation.
I'd bet dollars to donuts that we may have a NEST (or two), accompanied by some type of SF inside Iran trying to secure the gayahtollah's nuke stash.

I don’t doubt there are special teams in Iran, but getting access to anything to defuse it, without being caught of having a huge armed support team doesn’t seem like a viable occurrence.
DOD?
I thought we were all calling it the War Department now.
Old habits die hard.
