See, this is what made Limbaugh great. Rush knew who he was and what the pulse of America was. He never had the need to keep evolving and modifying positions and becoming more and more outrageous. Good talent shines through. I think Carlson can be a very cogent, rational voice, at least the 2020 version of him. I think he has waded into the murky swamp of podcasting and internet celebrity, and it’s warping his thinking. He’s trying to be an internet provocateur like Tim Pool.

But the guy changed his positions with boring regularity whenever his finger on the pulse of his audience told him to.
Perfect case in point: He was an unapologetic champion of “free trade” for years … but changed his mind on that as soon as Trump became the GOP front-runner in 2016.
