ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel was called out for mocking newly confirmed Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin as an "unqualified" plumber during his monologue Tuesday night.
"Trump's got a whole new generation of thinkers lined up, including his newly confirmed secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne ‘Chuck Mike Bruce Dave’ Melon — Mullin. Maybe melon's better," Kimmel said. "He's the now former senator of Oklahoma. Before he was elected to the Senate, Markwayne Mullin was a low-level MMA fighter and a plumber. That's right. We have a plumber protecting us from terrorism now. It worked for Super Mario. Why not Markwayne?"
He continued, "But honestly — I mean, if Trump is going to keep picking these unqualified people to run the department, why not have more fun with it? I mean, next time instead of Markwayne, how about Lil Wayne for Homeland Security? At least we can get a concert out of it, right?"

Considering where Kimmell lives and the kind of complex and modern estate(s) he probably owns his service plumber who works on commission might be smarter than him.
As far as Mullin.

His wife, Christie, postponed her degree to assist Mullin, By July 2011, Mullin Plumbing had become Oklahoma’s largest plumbing service company. In December 2021, Mullin sold his businesses to CenterOak Partners, a private equity firm based in Dallas. His family continued to operate the plumbing business.
There are some things where the necessary learning requires additional formal schooling - usually things that require advanced technical/professional or scientific knowledge. But that isn't most of college any more.
Someone who did actual WORK that benefitted others and must be dismissed as less-than-I.

Kimmel is a jackass. He needs to get straightened out by Mike Rowe.
I find plumbing rather difficult and almost always hire it done. Keeping track of slopes, avoiding leaks, and corroded valves is no fun. On the other hand telling jokes written by someone else doesn’t seem that difficult.
And a dolt as well. Kimmel insults KWM over his lack of a higher degree. Mullen has an ASS degree. Even though Kimmel spent several years in college, he doesn't have any degree from what I can tell.
The plumbers that I have used for the past 50+ years is a third generation, family business and the founder {grandfather} is still active, and has done some "small" jobs, at my home this past year.
His grand daughter is one of the crew, and the last time she was here, I asked her and she told me that she was earning six figures and she been working the family business since she was 13.
This company "family" gives excellent service, great prices and are very active in the local community.
When you need a plumber, don't grab a wrench, grab your phone and call a great one.
I didn't use to, but I am now much wiser, and will hire a pro to do the job, before I screw it up and it costs me 2-3 times as much.

It is my sincere hope that the next time millionaire democrat blowhole Jimmy Kimmel’s toilet explodes, the decent hardworking American plumbers will refuse to fix it, so Jimmy will finally do something useful after his contract expires next month.
