Back in the day, 17/1800s, it was called Consumption

Consumption is an old medical term for tuberculosis, a contagious disease primarily affecting the lungs. It was called consumption due to the severe weight loss and “wasting away” it caused in affected individuals.

Wasting away again in Margaritaville because we let Margaritaville invade.

One of the subtypes of infectious patterns of TB was known as “scrofula”....The term “scrofulous” refers to a well infected debilitated looking person, and in the social context a morally corrupt entity. Like ALL modern democrats.
