But to cut the boredom, we traveled through Singapore and crossed the Equator... then proceeding to celebrate the famous Crossing the Line ceremony where the veteran "shellbacks" are permitted to freely harass and humiliate the "pollywogs", sailors who had never crossed the Equator before.
