One often hears Democrat politicians decrying the lack of common civility abroad in the land these days. In so doing, they generally blame Normal Americans—largely but not exclusively Republicans—for that failing. But how often do we see the Normal American owners or managers of restaurants or other public accommodations, kick Democrat politicians or functionaries out of their establishments because their presence “makes them feel unsafe” or might be “perceived as a lack of support for the community that makes up the majority of our team.”
I can’t recall any instance of that happening, ever. That’s not surprising. Normal Americans aren’t frightened by the political views and goals of others, nor do they much worry about what others think of them. They tend to be live and let live types who have lives to live, bills to pay and families to support. They understand the circumstances that might constitute being “unsafe,” and they don’t include people with differing political views, real or imagined, sharing a restaurant with them.
Normal Americans obviously don’t share the views of The Croissanterie restaurant in Little Rock, Arkansas:

“Jane Fonda has been kicked out of Restaurants. Genuine traitors like her had it coming.”
Jane Fonda I would not allow on my restaurant. I don’t allow her in my house by way of prime, Netflix or internet TV. I won’t contribute a penny to her
She was beyond cruel to our POWs. There is photographic proof of her providing aid and comfort to the N VN military during the war against them
That’s no me disagreeing with her ideology or politics.
Did you hear about the story of the secret notes she handed over from American POW’s? Only one of the 4 can tell that story because the other three died from torture .
Conservatives support good establishments with their money. Democrats destroy their neighborhoods.
Heard it straight from the pow
This kind of crap just doesn’t play here in Montana.
That act was disgusting. She’ll have to explain that one tou her maker soon.
Also, they had been there for 90 minutes and the restaurant has a rule about length of stay.
Then some libtard customer yelled something.
The restaurant isn’t at fault.
I’m sure that rule is strictly enforced for all customers (sarc). Our side should get a group of African-American MAGA guys and re-enact the Greensboro lunch counter sit in.
Yes they are carriers of it like spreading the plague.
I had not heard that particular story until recently. Perhaps it was your post that brought it to my attention. I am interested, however, in how you met this surviving POW.
True, but maybe we should show it better to make them feel “more confortable”. For example, the staff could come out banging on pans and chanting “USA! USA!” like some restaurants do for birthdays. Maybe even hand out free copies of the Constitution or print the Bill of Rights on the placemats. All in the spirit of making lefties feel loved and respected ;-)
I’m with you on this one.
I can’t imagine why law-abiding people would not welcome the presence of security people. We have several police cars parked in our exurban neighborhood and it’s a great comfort to know they are close by. Perhaps Arkansans think they will never be in a restaurant or its parking lot when armed robber approaches them, but I wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone.
Another customer posted on social media that she and her party of friends were in the same restaurant on another occasion and stayed well over 90 minutes—more than 2 hours. She said it was selective enforcement.
I think the restaurant could get sued. It’s a place of public accommodation. It would not be a federal civil rights violation but it might be a state violation.
And they're not vulgarians like the liberals.
Partially correct. SEVERAL people posted and were disgusted. They saw everything that happened, half dozen posts at least. Not a small restaurant. I think they lost 30-50% of their customers IMHO.
BTW Sarah did NOT call out the restaurant by name. Never mentioned it until a reporter asked. She has class. It was the customers that brought the name of the establishment out.
Anyways here is the most popular post:
Because Republicans are fake opposition who are not serious about taking and using State power to overcome their enemies.
