Dramatic New Ice Core Evidence Shows Current Century Warming Common Throughout the Last 400,000 Years
The Daily Sceptic ^ | march 16, 2026 | CHRIS MORRISON

Lies, disinformation and fictional accounting are the order of the day as a desperate hard-Left UK government, aided by its pet Climate Change Committee, tries to keep its impossible Net Zero controlling agenda intact. The bedrock unproven science claims surround the suggestion that recent limited global warming presents an existential threat to the planet. Statistics are routinely tortured to produce claims of up to 1.7°C warming from the pre-industrial age, notable as reported in a recent silly ‘Trump’s brave new world’ article by Ambrose Evans-Pritchard in the Telegraph. In fact, temperatures have only risen by around 1.1°C over the last 100 years. Moving away from the tortured stats measured over a few cherry-picked months, it has recently been discovered from ice core records that rises of 1.1°C in the current interglacial, which started about 20,000 years ago, occurred in about one in six centuries.

The Left has unfortunately discovered that they don't need to create a Leninist revolutionary cadre because one already exists: the managerial class in business and government.

You don't need anything as crude as the NKVD knocking down doors at 4:00AM. All you need are thousands of pages of regulations and HR manuals.

The end result is the same: a command economy thoroughly under the thumb of the managerial class both in and outside of government. Look at automobiles: basically now too expensive for most Americans to buy new because of the deliberately engineered shortage caused by over regulation, taxation, and disruptions to supply chains. This phenomenon is now spreading into all parts of the economy- housing, food, etc.

Basically, the Left has decided that corporate fascism is the goal with governmental and business elites joining together to form a one-party state and strip mine the wealth of the US.

The old ice cores in Greenland have always proved that puny hu-mans did not cause global warming.

More CO2 in the atmosphere BEFORE the Industrial Revolution.

California too - where the governor’s entire agenda is based around “climate change” - why gas averages $2.00/gallon more in California than in any other state.

Newsom is constantly going on about droughts caused by man-made “climate change” - when tree rings going back 1,000 years or more show drought is a normal, natural condition in California, with droughts lasting up to 100 years - well before the “evil internal combustion engine” and “vastly polluting industries” were created and built.

You know, I have been paying close attention to this fraud for decades now, and I came to the conclusion long ago that this has nothing at all to do with climate and everything to do with control.

I also came to believe that the people promoting this hoax didn't believe a word of the pap they put out, but...over time, I have come to conclude that in a weird form of mass hysteria in the "leadership" of this movement, they deluded themselves into thinking it was real.

Not the proles, of course. The believers in the levels below the leadership swallowed it hook, line, and sinker. But I have concluded that many at the top bought into their own BS.

As for the scientific community, sadly, I think much of the "support" in it was driven by money and jobs. If you didn't genuflect at the altar of climate change, you wouldn't get the research grants or jobs.

Worse, if you spoke out publicly against the fraud, your entire livelihood was at stake.

What a mess. What a sad state of affairs. All the money wasted that could have been put to better use. All the kids indoctrinated in schools, that heightened their anxiety about the future.

Bear with me-I know this seems unrelated, but I believe this is the unseen damage that this "Climate Change" hoax, which they have indoctrinated young kids from Kindergarten up for decades now, has caused.

I recently watched a movie called "Where The Wild Things Are" which was based on the famous children's book. It is about a seven or eight year old kid whose life is in such upheaval that he has to find escape in a fantasy world.

Now, I have never read the book, but I have seen it in bookstores and such so often that I wanted to see what it was about, and it was free to watch. I never finished it, because once it descended into the kid's fantasy, it became kind of silly and boring.

But, before he went into his fantasy world "where the wild things are", it showed what his life was like. His mother was divorced which uproots many kids, but his mother was dating men, which distressed him even more. He didn't have any friends, and his sister was at least six years older than him and not interested in him.

And when he was in grade school, the dweeby male teacher in some science class was talking about the Earth and the Sun, and this dweeb, talking to the kids, was saying this:

"...And the sun is the center of our solar system. It's the reason that all the planets are here. It, uh, its warmth gives the sunlight, makes our planet livable.

And of course the sun won't always be here to keep us warm. It, uh, like all things will die. And when it does, first it expands. Enveloping all the surrounding planets, including earth...before consuming rapidly. The sun, after all, is just fuel, burning ferociously. When it runs of fuel, well, it'll be gone. Well, after that the. solar system will go dark, permanently.

I'm sure by that time, the human race will have fallen to any numbers of calamities. War, pollution, global warming, tsunamies, earthquakes, meteors...Hey, who knows, right?"

This movie starts out trying to show why this kid, with all the uncertainty and turbulence in his eight year old life would retreat into fantasy. Every young child has things that can make any normal kid feel completely untethered and vulnerable, it is part of growing up.

But what made me angry watching this is that it is wholly deliberate on the part of adults in general, and "educators" in particular. Their young minds are just so pliable they cannot resist digging into their grey matter and manipulating them. This initial part of the movie showed that well-look at the kid's face in that screen capture above. And the kids sitting behind them.

As a kid, you don't have a comprehensive or full understanding of an abstract concept like "the future". When they are talking about the sun dying, expanding, and consuming the earth, or...the climate changing, with the Earth having a "fever" and all the trees and plants dying to be replace by desert...sometime in the "future"...to that kid the future could be before they are 12 years old.

It angered me to watch it. It is only a portrayal in a movie, but...to those kids listening to that voice of authority, it was very real and near.

This manipulation of kids is one of the unseen and largely unacknowledged aspects of this cruel hoax.

Agreed.
It’s damn near illegal for a ‘climate denier’ to dig up facts and history.

Progressivism had the same philosophy, but they claimed the purpose was to create a “greater good”. But that is the claim of Leftists, everywhere.

The result is, as you describe, the concentration of wealth in the government and managerial hands.

In the USA, the managerial class has been able to prevent the purges, insecurity of property, and imprisonment which plagued the Soviets and plague the CCP to this day.

The current left in the USA seems to want to emulate the worst aspects of the Soviets and the CCP.

Frightening children creates a lasting impression, an "embedded opinion," that's very difficult to erase and forms the basis for future judgments. The same is true about proselytizing perversion among children.

Allowing the Left to gain control over education was one of the bigger mistakes of the American republic.

That goes together with all the rest of the hubris of "liberal" mid-20th century America. Then it seemed jungle wars against Asians would be easy to win (despite the contrary evidence of the Pacific War just 20 years earlier) and that a "liberal" society had to tolerate an eruption of treasonous leftism, sexual perversion, and an explosion of soul destroying intoxicants or it otherwise wouldn't be "liberal."

It's one thing to tolerate a handful of leftist cranks shouting in university lectures; it's quite another when such doctrines turn into political movements. Then it becomes like shouting "fire" in a theater.

We're long past that stage. I was hoping Trump would use the Left's unlawful support for illegal immigration as an excuse to use the Insurrection Act to suppress the Democrats as should be done. But he doesn't have the stomach for it.

Good post and good points. Kids are scared to death about a lot of things. Somehow, my generation escaped the cold war without being all warped up and overwrought with fear of nuclear annihilation. My Dad was a fallout shelter manager and engineer so I knew a lot more growing up about what life after an attack would be like. That left me not so sure that survival was a good thing. I digress.

In one of my former roles I sponsored a lot of academic research. What a racket. True publish or perish and then there are the foundations taking a huge chunk of the money as it flows through to do actual work and live pretty lush on it. Yeah, a racket that they just won’t let go of.

I also had times when working on a project or problem that the emotions and opinioneering went out of control. Bringing people back to reality and logical and objective discussion was impossible. One of the hardest things is to reverse positions held by people that are just wrong but passionately held, usually out of some fear of things they don’t understand. When a discussion devolves into whoever can talk the loudest and fastest wins, I’m out. Walk away and don’t look back. I have been there more than once. The responsible and accountable thing is to try to bring things back to reality allowing for the possibility that you may be wrong as well but it has been more than I was willing to do so I quit; not often but more than a few times.

This climate change hoax is well beyond emotional and has become a hysterical thing. The possibility of bringing people in such a state or with such deeply vested interestes back to center is likely doomed to failure. Lead them to water but you can’t drink it for them or make them understand it so lead and leave.

Problem is, we who probably know better than to believe such clap trap are carried along in the flood of destruction along with the masses. We are restricted needlessly, we spend money needlessly, we are terribly inconvenienced and ridiculed even scorned needlessly.

Consider the anti-ICE or pro-choice harpies. How much time are you willing to waste trying to sway their point of view? How about the kids that are brainwashed to believe socialism, communism since the line is not even fine line between the two, will save them and give them their heart’s desire but is a system doomed to failure or that capitalism is one that takes work to make work. What will it take to reverse their wrong headed thinking and steer them in a more successful but difficult direction? Remember the scene in “Raiders of the Lost Ark” where Harrison Ford faces off with the swordsman and just shoots him? That is probably the only way to actually efficiently win. Trump probably knows that about the Persians as well.

I’m getting like my Dad was at the end. Too much behind me and not enough ahead of me to want to get involved but still I do. Foolishness. Look at all the effort people like Manhattan Contrarian or Watt’s up with That put into the arguments against the climate change mania. I am certainly not willing to give it that much effort and they already do a great job of it but to no apparent good.

To one of your other many valid points, They get so deep into their lie or mistake their sense of self or other things like credibility, honor if they ever had any, professionalism etc. would be shattered to reverse course or even to modify it. You see the same thing in politicians. The one or two democrats that have now signaled a shift in their support of the DHS shut-down or even Fetterman going against the grain have to be more brave than we might think.

At the end of the day just about all the things that give me pain to one degree or another even to the point of bitterness or hatred fall under the heading of, UNNECESSARY; unnecessary words, thoughts, actions, work, ideas and all of their attendant consequences. We just do things with very little thought for the consequences and the consequences are all around us for a very very long time.
