Trump has always been highly concerned with his poll numbers and approval rating. But I think he would be better off if he just stayed out of these squabbles. These people have nothing to do all day except chit chat about things they really know nothing about.

You would think someone would point that out to him. That they haven’t (AFAIK) means they do not have his or the country’s best interest in mind. If Trump has simply decided to ignore their advice it means it might be time for someone to take away his glue and scissors.
I would say Trump has a fixation on Fox News that has become both pathological for him personally and unhealthy for America.

While in usual cases I would agree with you. However Trump has an amazing ability to throw these petty tweets and statements to the DNC media whores which keeps them distracted with the silliness while he will do something like send another 100 ICE agents to a democrat s hole and deport 1000s of illegals while the media whores are still outraged he called Rosie fat. Or as they were “outraged” he was going to invade Greenland he snatched up Maduro
