Meh, I have a hard time getting too worked up over this.
Mrs. Washburn had our 6th grade class write congratulations letters to Ronald Reagan in 1980 and then Mr. Colliers had a similar “ghost-write term 1 memoirs” when Reagan was reelected when I was a sophomore in HS in his Government & Civics class.
So long as no student is punished for taking a dour view of the hopium on the assignment, teachers have been doing this kind of thing regardless of the President for generations.
Yeah. I found getting outraged over a new president of the United States a bit much. We’d be gushing if a teacher did this for president Trump which I am sure was done somewhere in the United States on the day after his win especially 2016.
