Yeah. I found getting outraged over a new president of the United States a bit much. We’d be gushing if a teacher did this for president Trump which I am sure was done somewhere in the United States on the day after his win especially 2016.

Reality is reality and my *only* beef would be if a teacher employed his or her own ideology in grading.
I’ve always been somewhat skeptical about “indoctrination” because I still remember how I was when I was a kid and especially, a teenager. The minute an adult tried to tell me how to think? I took the opposite view just out of habit ;-).
I mentioned my HS Government & Civics teacher — Mr. Colliers was actually a ‘64 Goldwater GOP convention delegate... and he was never shy about sharing his own opinions. But - he was also an excellent teacher and he never held it against any student up for ‘debating’.
My own *minimal* experience with “leftism” (and being contrarian for the sake of being contrarian) was mostly debating him in class. I still treasure - and still have - the college admissions letter of recommendation he wrote for me. Classmates used to *love* when I’d engage with him in debate because more often than not, the debates would take the whole hour. I used to joke with him “You know I don’t believe anything I said...” and he’d say “That’s why you’re getting an A for the class, even if your tests didn’t lead to an A anyway”.
