If such technology existed the temptation to use would be irresistible. We would have conquered the world with it. There would no quibbling over energy. If someone else had it we’d be conquered!
I doubt your assumptions.
There are too many interests and concerns involved to just suddenly spring world-changing technologies on humanity. And humans quibble over much more than ‘energy’. (Right now we’re dealing with insane fanatics who are willing to destroy civilization to fulfill the prophecies of their crazy religious cult.)
There are those TR3s people see from time to time. That would be the Belgian Flying Triangle flap of the 1980s. Nobody talks about them, but they sure do get spotted from time to time.
