His Uncle Don called him “Clyde” and it stuck in the family. My nickname is “Boris” by Uncle Don’s attribution.
No need to be coy here: “Chuck Seyboldt” is the most common referent for his given name. I call him “Clyde” as a matter of endearment.
In retrospect, every child should have an Uncle who issues nicknames.
