DECORAH, Iowa (KTTC) – A Decorah woman is charged in Winneshiek County for allegedly lacing a family size pan of lasagna to cause a miscarriage to another pregnant woman.
Amber Snow, 36, is charged with several felonies including delivering a controlled substance, intentionally terminate a human pregnancy, and administering a harmful substance.
In January 2026, the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office was contacted regarding a pan of lasagna that had allegedly been laced with a controlled substance. Snow and a co-conspirator were identified to be behind the laced lasagna.
Search warrants revealed communication between the defendants showed that the lasagna was prepared and delivered to another family in December. The investigation determined the tainted lasagna was intended to cause a miscarriage to a pregnant woman in the family. Authorities said the pregnant woman had no knowledge of this.
The lasagna was submitted to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation Criminalistics Laboratory, where it was confirmed to be laced with oxycodone.
Charges were officially filed on March 10.
Snow is being held in the Winneshiek County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond. Winneshiek County said the case remains under investigation with additional charges and arrests expected.
