Load up on Vitamin C.
I’n 89, lived here 17 years and had a cold once about ten years ago. No flu shots.
Small people need 500 mg C daily, large people up to 2500 mg. All drugstores and supermarkets have them in my neighborhood, probably yours too.
My Vit C is right up there. But if I get a sniffle, then I take 500 mg C for about 3 days...and voila...it’s gone. I’m also a honey and lemon fan...and also pop Vit C cough drops.
Since Covid I’ve been regularly taking vitamin C 2000 mg, vitamin D with K 5000 IU, calcium, magnesium glycinate, magnesium citrate, a regular vitamin supplement, zinc, and I recently added collagen to my regimen. I mostly take the gummy form because I hate trying to swallow mega horse pills, but if I’m feeling up to it I’ll take quercetin with bromelain and NAC. I haven’t been sick since my second bout with Covid in January 2022 so I must be doing something right. I’m also 72 and I’ve never had the flu, hence no flu shots ever.
