I was an early adopter of Wiki as an contributor/editor. I found liberalism ruled the site. Outright lies about conservatives were allowed while known and provable truths about liberals were censored. This even happened on science pages. I left years ago, but I went back around 2020. Same crap but just much worse.

Wikipedia is so full of false statements and lies by omission and has become such an unreliable source that colleges prohibit Wikipedia from being used as a reference for papers.

Not true. You can still say anything derogatory about conservatives without references. You can also lie by omission too.

I recently discovered Grokipedia. The only negative so far is the lack of visuals -- photos, maps, templates, etc.

For a while now, Wikipedia has splashed its pages with pleas for donations. Sometime back I looked into the profiting from a "wiki" -- meaning people contributing, like some other wikis -- a thought that "no one owns" sorts of pleas were bunkum.

Doesn't matter, as I wager with Musk and some others, Wikipedia as a "please donate" hasn't much time left before the tech world waltzes right past them.
