Reeling from years of regional conflict and subjected to superior electronic warfare effects, Iran can no longer hide its poor defense posture.
From the outset of the campaign, the US and Israel almost immediately achieved air superiority
The IRGC is believed to have expended a lot of its missile stockpiles during the 12-Day War in June 2025
Experts tell Army Technology how “efficient” and “capable” the EW effort of both countries has been at this point in the conflict
US-Israeli strikes, now in their fourth day, have exposed the deeply rooted failure of Iran’s integrated air defense network.
From the outset of the campaign, the US and Israel almost immediately achieved air superiority over Iran, enabling continued strikes against more than 2,000 targets within the Islamic Republic.
Iranian air defense sites have been subjected to aggressive electromagnetic spectrum operations but in tandem, its defenses have also been targeted kinetically.
Notably, the two allies appear to have split up responsibility. While US strikes have focused on targeting strategic infrastructure such as air defenses, command and control nodes, logistics networks, industrial facilities, and Iran’s military structure, the Israel Defense Forces have focused on targeting ballistic missile launchers, Iranian leadership and Hezbollah while also launching a forward presence group into southern Lebanon.

Could it also be a critique of Russian and Chinese equipment?
Made In China crap
(From the outset of the campaign, the US and Israel almost immediately achieved air superiority over Iran, enabling continued strikes against more than 2,000 targets within the Islamic Republic.)
aya tollah you guys...
Our Electronic Warfare capabilities are two decades ahead of theirs, which was so last century....
Their defenses are a pile of Shia
The Chinese stealth-detecting radar works flawlessly.
It blows up when a stealth aircraft is nearby, thereby alerting its users to a stealth aircraft.
This is not something we should be discussing.
A You Tuber, who also in the US Military, called Habitual Line Crosser posts on this stuff. He is an Air Defense expert.
Early in the Ukraine conflict he explained it this way. The US listens to all the proapganda from Russia and China about how good their weapons are. The US then spends gobs of money to figure out how to beat these supposed superior weapons.
The US Military is so good because it works really hard to be that good and spends lots of money to make sure it is that good. Post Vietnam it became “cool” to sneer at the US Military and talk about how bad it weapons are. That actually works in our favor because our foes consistently underestimate how good the US Military actually is.
Now if we did have so many stupid DC swamp politicians who only thought is to undo everything they achieve, we might get some lasting good out of it.
Jeez…it got blown to hell last June. Do people think you just put another system up overnight?
Not that we haven’t done a fine job, but we took down a system that was likely 40% of what it was a year ago?
These failures...
They’ll have to mullah them over...
Obviously because, the US Air Force is so amazing! Silly question....
US Navy too, of course.
OK ... so why did it fail so badly back in June?
Perhaps because Russian and Chinese gear sucks and the consistently oversell it?
Because it was made in China??
It’s called stealth.
The F-35 is the finest strike fighter in the history of aviation.
It’s worth mentioning that our equipment is no longer being run by men in dresses.
The command is also no longer run by men in dresses.
I appreciate your Sunni disposition!
Every time they fired a missile they gave us 5x intel. They didn’t realize that the best strategy would be to “just fire them all at once”, as the alternative is have most of them destroyed where they sit.
It’s lose-lose.
We need to arm the Iranian people, which I’d guess we’re already doing.
My guess is, like any dying monster, it’ll try to take many with them…which might be sleeper cells all over the globe - especially in the USA and UK/EU.
More accurately referred to as leftover Soviet junk...
