One thing unites the three great powers [...]

The article never explicitly and unambiguously identifies these "three great powers."

Rather, it refers to the U.S. and China as "superpowers," and also coyly mentions Russia, so I suppose that we - the readers - are intended to accept that Russia is likewise a "great power."

But insofar as this article is about Eurobonds and economics - and not nuclear armaments - what justification is there for including Russia in this elite club?

By most economic metrics, Russia should be positioned at about NINTH PLACE.
