I’m not a Texan, but if Cornyn/Paxton was cordial... the word has no meaning.
The low turnout of the Republicans in the primary is a very serious warning indicator. Another warning indicator is the close margin in the Republican primary with a need for a runoff election.
We had best take heed and put much more effort into generating improved turnout. And the margin of victory in the runoff election had better be substantial.
It does not really matter which Republican candidate wins the runoff at this point. Political contests now seem to be mostly a choice between "bad" and "worse". Spoiler: The Democrat is always worse. Much worse.
