How much does Neil drink?
People back then sort of figured out that drinking plain water came with risk while drinking alcohol seemed to go better.
It should be noted that back then there were some people who did not drink — and they tended to have a huge advantage over other people. If I am sober and sharp as a tack, and I am negotiating a business deal with someone who is quite drunk, I am likely to get the better part of the deal.
I’d rather have a drunk Founding Father running this country than some leftist twink who’s partner carries his tiny balls around in it’s purse.
Reminds me of about 50 years ago when a pharmacist told me the secret of Geritol making the elderly feel better was the alcohol in it, not the vitamins.
People drank a lot more booze back then. Water was frequently bad and alcohol kills bacteria and viruses. They didn’t know about the latter back then but they observed that you got sick a whole lot less often when you drank booze regularly. So they did.
People were much tougher back then. Hard apple cider was consumed instead of water/ It was safer.

I wish that video would have gone longer because I wanted to hear the attorneys answer.
Gorsuch should stick with issues at hand instead of daydreaming.
He’s a pothead trying to use drinkers in his argument as a cover for potheads.
The difference is that back in the days of our Founders, they had consciences tuned to God. Not so much today.
Workman’s Comp came about circa 1910.
Intoxicating drugs were made illegal at about the same time.
Incarcerating people is expensive, so governments try to avoid it.
The US government could throw Mr. Pothead in prison where he would not be able to have a gun, however, if the government bows to financial reality, then real iron bars are going to be in Mr. Pothead’s life, only virtual bars.

Signature of Mr. Pothead
There’s also the possibility that Mr. Pothead might pick up an addictive drug habit and might pay for it handing over a gun to a dealer who might pass it on to a dealer supplier.
All this nonsense about unsafe water... They had wells, just like wells today. Water from the underground aquifer is safe to drink, and people then weren’t retarded, read actual texts, not just two hundred years ago, even two thousand years ago... they were pretty damned sharp and understood far more than moderns give them credit for. Beer and ale were consumed because they enjoyed it AND because they needed the extra calories due to a much more active lifestyle, and beer/ale (not so much hard liquor => can be dehydrating then slightly) is an easy way to add some calories while you work and quench your thirst at the same time. For those who work hard outside doing physical labor, the same still holds.
In 1794 farmers rebelled when Alexander Hamilton sought to put an excise tax on whiskey. George Washington had to personally lead a contingent of militia to restore order.
Marijuana isn’t alcohol. It has completely different properties and effects.
If the founders were high all the time, there wouldn’t be an America.
HC Storage in Fat
THC, the psychoactive component of marijuana, is fat-soluble. This means it can be stored in the body's fat tissues for extended periods, especially in regular users.
USAGE FREQUENCY THC DETECTION IN FAT
Occasional Users 3 to 5 days
Moderate Users 5 to 10 days
Daily Users 10 to 30 days
Heavy Users 30 days or more
Factors Influencing THC Retention
Several factors affect how long THC stays in fat:
Frequency of Use:
More frequent use leads to greater accumulation in fat.
Body Fat Percentage:
Higher body fat can result in longer retention of THC.
Metabolism: A faster metabolism can help eliminate THC more quickly.
Potency of Cannabis: Higher THC concentrations can prolong detection times.
Conclusion
THC can remain in fat for weeks, particularly in chronic users. The exact duration depends on individual factors and usage patterns.
As to whether marijuana users should be able to own firearms, I would lean Yes.
As to whether the timing of this case might be a political ploy in an election year…I would lean Yes.
A conservative court co-opting a traditionally Democrat/liberal policy.
SCOTUS is political.
