Columbia and Janet were cuties back then. They both aged horribly.
Magenta wasn’t bad, and she has aged far better.
As others have pointed out, Sarandon was NOT black-balled from Hollywierd for being too left. She simply aged out. If she wasn’t a burnt out, mouthy, bitter, old, lefty hag, she surely could have scored some Lifetime channel movies as someone’s great gramma.
Well, I certainly avoided that vomiting scene, and just posted the bare-puppet torso scene!
I think Olog-hai has been around long enough to be tolerant of these kind of thread meanderings that happen...if we wait long enough, there might be some detour off into Monty Python or something else!
As for Susan Sarandon, had she not put herself up on that podium, she might still be remembered as a somewhat attractive actress who aged well instead of a shrill anti-American harpy who didn’t age well!
Aging never goes well with anti-Americanism or harpy-ness, as Barbara Streisand, Jane Fonda, and many others well demonstrate.
