I’ve read On The Beach several times and it’s a great read. Very few books end like this one.

The book and movie for those who have forgotten the promises. The promises always matter.

John 11:

[21] Then said Martha unto Jesus, 
Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
[22] But I know, that even now, 
whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
[23] Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

I like the book better than the movie.

I read On The Beach when I need a real downer.

A good book and movie, I discovered it and Alas Babylon around fifth grade in our school library. Just the thing to read in 1967 while living in centra Florida. Still not as good as finding Barbarella as an English language bound illustrated book in the public library, and they let a 12 yr old check it out, because it was a comic book. Ruined for life.
