MAGA-aligned billionaires Larry Ellison and his son David have dramatically won a bidding war for CNN’s parent company—and are now on track to turn it Trumpy.
Their Paramount Skydance company suddenly has won its bidding war against Netflix to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery after upping its bad and the younger Ellison attending Donald Trump’s State of the Union address.
The move comes two days after Paramount Skydance revised its offer for the media conglomerate which also owns HBO, and is Hollywood’s biggest movie make, from $30 per share to $31 per share.
Once the deal goes through CNN is widely expected to come under the control of Bari Weiss, the MAGA-curious Substacker who now runs CBS News. That network is already reeling from her turbulent leadership, with Anderson Cooper quitting 60 Minutes to focus solely on his CNN role—meaning that he will be reunited with her in the near future.

YASSSSS! TRUMPNN!
No, but we’ll have Faux News Network. They’re CNN Lite.
Explain the woke disaster that is Paramount’s star fleet academy.
This could be interesting. Anderson Cooper may regret retiring soon.
Ted Turner “brotherhood and kindness” utopia delusion.
What a ‘maroon’ !
The melt downs from liberals over CNN will be fun to watch, especially if liberals start getting fired and replace by anyone even slightly more conservative.
CNN doesn’t have to go full conservative, if any cable news network just went truly middle of the road and held both parties accountable, they would win a huge audience.
It’s cute that some people still think Fox News is conservative.
Good to not depend so much on X, but there’s no substitute for FR.
were you a classmate?
“ News has turned into a broken record of bad news,”
And the weather, “ horrific rain storm, worst weather ever, record heat wave, torrential hail, haboob dust storms, atmospheric river of rain”
drama queens and cry babies.
Every day it’s worse than ever. The little shits only go to school four days a week. If it gets to F32? Freezing weather. Oh yea, I left out “feels like” temperature.
What a bunch of babies…
Fox desperately needs competition on the Right. They are clearly aligned with the RINOs against MAGA.
In fairness to Ted.....CNN was an honest and legitimate news network for at least the first 25 years or so. It was only after the merger with Warner Brothers that CNN became just another MSDNC and its ratings absolutely tanked.
One can always hope! The communist death grip on American news must be broken.
The problem with any 24 hour news network is that 24 hours is too long for "new" news and so we get 10-12 minute repeat segments on a loop for every "program".
Start with Fox and Friends {if you can stomach that blond bimbo that Sean is banging} and every hour is a redo of the previous one.
It's almost 10 AM and I have yet to turn on any TV and I can catch up with 4 hours of "news" in 20-30 minutes.
I dvr almost every program that I want to review because there are only so many "relaxium or botox or fat drug" commercials that any one can stand.
After my third large cuppa joe, I will turn on the TV for a quick review, but I catch most of my political news clips from X or Utube and things that are posted on "Liberty Daily" or Lucianne or here on FR.
Can't argue with that.
I will say since Musk bought Twitter and it is no longer a Deep State tool, information is getting through.
The best info is unfiltered.
I have my own filters which discounts way over half what I come across.
My greatest concern is still the gubmint.
Trump has been in office for over a year and I don't have any more idea of who Ray Epps was than when Joey was POTUS.
Fact is I don't trust old media nor new media to tell me the truth.
And until the gubmint tells me more about Ray Epps and Matthew Crooks, I don't trust it to tell me the truth either.
