I don’t always agree with this preservation stuff...lotsa cr** gets credentials cuz sometimes it’s who you know.
The same ones who tear down statues and blow historical items up, are pissed because of efforts to improve the very seat of our own government....why was a “judge” even needed for this work?
And as far as historical importance
The East Wing of the White House, which is being turned into a ballroom, traditionally serves as the entrance for tourists and guests attending events.
IOW - it’s used as a foyer...
