Given our existence and the size of the universe, aliens are likely to exist somewhere. The distances involved make it possible we will never know. We aren’t capable of space travel far enough to learn anything and maybe they aren’t either.
If we are alone God created a lot of useless universe.
“If we are alone God created a lot of useless universe.”
I think it’s beautiful. The night sky and the daytime sky.
And it’s fascinating. People have been studying it for years.
They will continue to study it for years.
Our Lord made our whole universe fascinating.
The ocean, our bodies, light, soil, gas, everything.
Well, Isaiah 45:18 says that God “formed it to be inhabited”; the “it” would not just be the earth but the entire universe, if the verse is read in its entirety.
Fantastic civilizations could have risen, fallen and become lost in the vastness of time.
There are billions and billions of stars. Good chance that somewhere in the vastness of the universe there are other advanced civilizations. However the enormous distances and the speed of light speed limit make it virtually impossible for any biological or mechanical entity to reach us or us them. Sorry but warp drives and navigable “worm holes” are pure science fiction.
However mankind had been broadcasting radio waves into space which travel at the speed of light for the past 125 years. Now if there is a planet hosting an advanced civilization with 75 light years, it is not impausible that they have received our broadcasts and are sending radio wave replies which may be soon arriving. In fact the “UFOs” we witness that dart around at the speed of light might be radio images that use our atmosphere as a video screen. Alien teenagers having fun?. Also there may be a string of alien civilizations linked by radiowaves. Messages and information might be shared but the communications are not very rapid.
I doubt God wasted anything in His design. But no man has been able to 'create life'. That could very well be unique to His plan according to His Word.
