Once upon a time as a kid I was spanked several times a week. Thank heavens for that.
However strangers do not have the right to put violent hands on other people's children except in certain extreme circumstances.
It is strange that the same people who would decry "It takes a village" are the one's who are fine with a child being physically punished by a stranger for what is, at worse, a very minor infraction.
You remind me of another poster who, after reading about a day care worker who smothered a four month old to death declared that the baby was obviously "totally out of control".
Amazing how violence against children is so often excused.
