I hope the mother is planning to breastfeed exclusively for the first 3-6 months. That’s the best way to protect her baby naturally.
I hope you’re right. A family I’m close with had a baby boy last Friday. Mom is breast feeding. They brought the baby to church on Sunday and grandma was holding him for all to see. They are a big farm family and there have two other births the past year. All are well and, BTW, they all avoided having any Covid shots.
That’s been the way of the world forever and the human race has survived. In today’s generally healthy environment in the USA keeping a new born isolated for three months would seem to be counter productive as bacteria are everywhere and the sooner humans infants are exposed and develop an immune system the better off they will be. Obviously they should not have exposure to someone sick but otherwise it should be okay.
Maybe not if she’s vaxxed.
