I have a friend (maybe had by now) at a local gun shop. He was blackmailed into getting the COVID shot if he ever wanted to see his grandchildren. He got the shot. The last time I saw him, it was his last day at work at the gun shop. He developed a rapidly spreading case of testicular cancer. His survival prospects looked grim.

I would not be blackmailed. Send pictures. Face time. I'm not falling on the mRNA sword to assuage a blackmailer.

I did not consider the word “blackmail.” You are correct. That is exactly what was going on. Blackmail. It was coercion. I bet those who blackmailed successfully said to themselves “I’m glad I made him get his shot.”
