“I would want proof of life through a phone call or video.”
definitely: 1.) to prove a particular ransom note out of the dozens received isn’t fake, and 2.) the ransom is being paid for living person ...
Right before their moment of death at the hands of an Illegal
The 48 minutes is a maximum range given by the sheriffs office. The abductors may not have been in the house for 48 minutes. The time starts when the nest doorbell camera was pried off the door frame and partially damaged at 1:47 AM. No time was given when they entered the house. The next time given was at 2:11 when the damaged camera registered movement at 2:12. The next time given was at 2:28 when her pacemaker "disconnected" from the iPhone app. I think all that means is a scheduled transmission to the doctor's office failed.
With the information given, the abductors could have been in the house for just a few minutes to over the 48 minute timeframe given.
Mighty late for random notes

We’ve been watching “Tulsa King” (a NY mobster was relocated to Tulsa) on Paramount+ and there was a segment where a pinky ring was significant.
Interesting. I’ve never watched a TV subscription but have been tempted. If it’s bloody and violent I might try it.
Who is trying to make tmz seem important/legit with the fake ransome notes?

We subscribed to Paramount+ to watch Landman (which is excellent). Then saw Tulsa King (Sylvester Stallone), and binge watched that. There are other good shows, too.
