Democrats never saw a tax they didn't like.

Dubbed the “millionaires’ tax” by backers, it would impose a 9.9% levy on personal income over $1 million a year...“We’ll keep working on the details.”

In other words this is a bait and switch.

Once an income tax is on the books it is just a matter of time until inflation and tweeking over time creates and expands it in to a progressive income tax just like we have at the federal level.

The Federal income tax was originally a Tax on the Rich.

I guess it’s ancient history, but folks in Washington really should read up on Connecticut, which had held the line against income taxes for many years until Lowell Weicker caved in and signed a democrat bill.

In ten years, it’ll be at 5 percent on household income over $50,000. And stair stepping up from there.
