"But, first, let me help you get to the right place. In a few words, tell me what you're calling about. You can say "check my balance," "open a new account," or "help me with something else."
Me: "I need to speak with a representative."
Bot: "I'm sorry. I didn't get that. In a few words..."
Me: "I have a question about my balance."
Bot: "Did you say you want to check your balance? I can help you with that."
LOL. I scream and curse at the Bot, too.
“We are experiencing heavier than normal call volume” says every company. Well, hire more people!
“Your estimated wait time is two days, five hours and ten minutes. If you like, we can call you back.” But my call spam filter will block it! So I turn off the spam blocker and get seven junk calls in the first hour. And half the time, they don’t call.
We switched health insurance companies this year. Humana handles the pharmacy end of the business. They intentionally torture you hoping you will die prematurely. They play ten seconds of horrid “music” then give you another commercial about how wonderful they are.
Then, of course, “Your call is important to us”. No it’s NOT! If it were, you wouldn’t kill your customers with this crap.
