Vance's motorcade destroys the Olympics
American Thinker ^ | 9 Feb, 2026 | Monty Donohew

Oh, the horror! The sheer, unmitigated brutality! Vice President JD Vance's motorcade descended upon the Winter Olympics in Milan like a fleet of rogue armored personnel carriers, "wreaking havoc" in ways that would make even the most dramatic speed skating wipe-out look tame. At least, that's the breathless hysterical narrative spun by the Daily Beast in its latest masterpiece of journalistic gymnastics, headlined "Vance's Clunky Motorcade Wreaks Havoc at Winter Olympics."

Penned by the intrepid "Breaking News Reporter" Vic Verbalaitis, this exposé reveals the true villain of the 2026 Games: not doping scandals or judging controversies, but a convoy of SUV's daring to navigate Italian streets. Buckle up, folks, we're about to dissect this "havoc" with the precision of a triple axel.

Let's start with the "devastation." According to the Beast, Vance's "massive motorcade" blocked a parking lot at the Milano skating arena, nearly causing American figure skater Alysa Liu to miss her short program. "We almost didn’t make it," her coach lamented to the Washington Post.

Almost! That magical word that turns a minor inconvenience into an international incident for the Beast. Liu, bless her blades, scrambled into her dress and onto the ice, apparently just in time, nailing a second-place finish that helped Team USA snag a two-point lead over Japan.

Gold-medal dreams "almost" ruined? Please. This is like claiming a traffic jam "almost" destroyed the Super Bowl because a hot dog vendor was five minutes late. If "almost" counted as havoc, the writer would qualify as "almost" an Olympic curler every time he left his keyboard to sweep his kitchen floor.

And the evidence? A video from an Italian news outlet showing... wait for it... the motorcade nearly colliding with a local car.

Nearly! Again with the "almost."

Is this what caused all of the protests?

Obama’s, Biden’s, motorcade would’ve been breathtaking with tearful cheers by all.

Does anyone really care. Right now, the only thing the idiots living in this country are interested in are Nancy Guthrie and the Puerto Rican Bugs Bunny who can’t speak English.

A) I don't care about the motorcade. B) I don't care about the daily yeast. C) I really don't care about the olympics.

That little girl, Liu should have been there hours before, dressed, stretched and warmed up to watch all the other competition. The Beast, lying sacks that they are, are the clunky ones. Liu, get out of bed and be ready the day of the performance.

And don't forget that word "historic" they love to use.

LOL. How many “almost car collisions” are there in any Italian city every day?

Similar to the amount of private jets parked on the tarmac of the San Jose, CA airport for the Super Bowl this weekend.
How many million pounds of CO2 were added to the atmosphere by rich celebrities like Leondardo Dicaprio flying to see the game?

I mention Leo because when he is not flying around the world in his private jet he is hanging out on his yacht. Again burning hundreds on gallons a day of diesel.

Personally, I think Leo is a great actor. I am not jealous of his wealth. He deserves whatever someone is willing to pay him. I also suspect he employs a lot of people. HOWEVER, he needs to STFU about telling other people that they need to be GREEN. Just like John Kerry. Flying around the world in the Hines family jet to their six different houses.

As a professional lumber broker I personally LOVED that movie.
It reminded me of several people I have known as a broker over the last 40 years.

People that made a lot and SPENT a lot. Then a few years later were out of the business entirely. Never to be heard from again.

I have known people who are the most likeable extrovert personality types you will ever meet. I still work with one. He is the human version of a golden retriever. NEVER has a bad day. Is always positive.

The Wolf of Wall Street was an extreme version of the hey day of the Wall Street broker. Similar to the movie Wall Street. We all wanted to find our Gorden Gecko back in the 80s.

“ Personally, I think Leo is a great actor.”
Really? Have you watched his latest movie? One after another, or whatever its called. If you can sit and watch that piece of trash then I am sad for you.

No, I have not seen his recent movies.
However, I have seen The Revenant, Catch me if you Can, and countless other movies where he was a great actor.

Even Daniel Day Lewis made a couple crappy movies.

It’s difficult to find any decent movie these days. I only got through 5 minutes of his latest. Regards…

I find myself watching movies mostly on Prime.
They seem to have better quality movies than Netflix.
Plus they actually rate the movies.
IF it does not have at least 4 stars I don't watch it.
Meaning a 4.0+ star rating on Prime is equivalent to what a 3 STAR movie used to be. Plus the algorithm learns the type of movies we like to watch and it suggests other movies like it. Similar to the way YouTube recommends videos.
