At least one GOP lawmakers is calling on the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) to take action after Bad Bunny’s shocking and vulgar halftime lyrics were translated from Spanish to English.
As TGP reported, on Sunday night, Hispanic entertainer Bad Bunny performed at the halftime show at Super Bowl LX. Commissioner Roger Goodell and his team picked this anti-American act, who no one has heard of and most people cannot understand, to play at the Super Bowl this year.
This was infuriating to millions of Americans. And that is when TPUSA stepped in and decided to hold their own halftime show. At least 25 million people tuned in to the alternative show.
During one scene you can see two men simulating sex with each other.
Bad Bunny’s Spanish lyrics were translated to English and they were much worse than previously thought: Lyrics from Bad Bunny's song featuring playful and provocative themes about romance and desire, highlighting a mix of humor and intimacy. Bad Bunny lyrics (1) Lyrics excerpt from a song featuring playful themes about attraction and confidence, emphasizing body positivity and fun interactions. Bad Bunny lyrics (2)
Congressman Randy Fine (FL) called on the FCC to take action, including fines and broadcast license reviews against the NFL, NBC and Bad Bunny.
Rep. Fine’s statement:
You can’t say the f-word on live TV.
“Bad Bunny”‘s disgusting halftime show was illegal.
Had he said these lyrics — and all of the other disgusting and pornographic filth in English on live TV, the broadcast would have been pulled down and the fines would have been enormous.
Puerto Ricans are Americans and we all live by the same rules.
We are sending BrendanCarrFCC a letter calling for dramatic action, including fines and broadcast license reviews, against the NFL, NBC, and “Bad Bunny.”
Lock them up.
(actual lyrics in English on link)
He’s looking at the lyrics to the song as recorded, not as performed at the Super Bowl. It’s sad how easily people fall for rage bait these days.
Call him by his real name, not some made up stupid BS name.
YES
NBC and Telemundo affiliates should all be reported.
Wasn’t on national TV though.
Fair enough. He also didn’t go that low (though he went low) with his lyrics in this show.
You can say the f‑word on live TV, but only on broadcast TV does it risk violating federal rules. The FCC prohibits “obscene, indecent, and profane” content on over‑the‑air broadcasts, which includes certain uses of strong profanity during hours when children are likely to be watching .
Cable channels, however, are not bound by those FCC profanity restrictions. They can air the f‑word without violating FCC rules because cable isn’t considered public airwaves .
Shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone ... Bi Bunny is clearly as trashy as trashy gets.
The NFL signed the contract with Jay Z’s Roc Nation to produce its Superbowel halftime shows in 2019.
Note the timing.
I agree with you; Cowgirl of Justice
“Roger Goodell deserves to be fired.”
True. Is he the one who gave his blessing to Jay-Z for arranging this travesty? Or is that another entity, e.g., someone on the Board of Directors or similar?
It seems he could’ve ix-nayed it if he had wanted to. Instead, he gave it a big wet kiss.
Time to break from Jay-Z.
The Super Bowl halftime show was a big “F*CK YOU AMERICA” from the NFL and JayZ ROC Nation.
maybe he should be fired but why do many conservatives and christens.
Still support professional sports. By watching
You can smell his entire neanderthal attitude through the screen - stupid unibrow caveman mentality, only worried about pooping, eating and screwing.
Very well put. I couldn’t have said it better.
Reminds me of how Whoopi claimed it was okay for blacks to use the N word, but no one else or “honor killings” were culturally okay….
If it had been in English, they’d have pulled the plug very early on.
Sue all of those bastards millions of dollars!! Bankrupt all of them...
