I’ve asked Brits why Robinson changed his name. I’ve gotten several maybe believable explanations. Most plausible is so he can disassociate himself from his past petty criminal soccer hooligan past & British National Front past. Not sure I buy it but there it is.

So what if Tommy Robinson is a soccer hooligan? That may explains why there's some "spirit" in him.
