Lindsey Vonn crashes early in Olympic downhill, taken off the mountain in a helicopter
So sad. Oh well, now she can complain about Trump from her wheelchair. And she won’t have to worry about being invited to the White House later. An all around win.
Ugly crash, kudos to her for even trying with a torn ACL.
Now she doesn’t have to worry about a White House visit.
The Trump curse lives on.

Vonn confirmed the split on social media, saying,
“After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship. I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart.”
Luckily she didn’t burst into flames.
We had a ski day during mountain training in the Army, my entire day looked like that, as did about half the unit, the instructors told us novices to stay off of the big downhill, but we ignored them and the medics were kept busy, good times.
Maybe she can take up smooth bore shooting and try again in ‘30.
I’m not watching the Woke Olympics but didn’t I hear she crashed a few days ago as well?
Last week when Vonn hurt her knee, my wife said, “Somewhere there is a woman who came in fourth in qualifying wondering why she has to wait another four years so this woman (and the US team) can milk this for every nickel they can get.”
This morning, it appears that Vonn’s ego is stronger than her knees.
It’s a shame. But the world seems to be full of people who don’t know when to retire gracefully. In sports, that message can be brutal and painful.
She's got a lot of heart coming back at the age of 41 and competing against "kids" 15 - 20 years younger than her.

Yes she went for the publicity and fame that will lead to more money from endorsement deals for years to come.

Yes, this not about politics. Great athlete, pushed hard.
Folks who worry about her politics - get off your ass and give it a try
All she had to do was out perform Vonn, but obviously she couldn't. She can try harder next time....

Boy I know some confident charismatics that would really rock Lindsay’s world, and for the better! With God’s help in Jesus’ Name she’d shed a few of those oppressive demons. :-)
