I’m willing to believe the the writer is just an idiot. Temperatures have not risen 6 degrees is seventy years. It may be 6 degrees warmer than it was just before the Olympics pics started in 1956, but according to NOAA the increase on average repaired has been .11 degrees per decade, or .77 degree in the aggregate
