I recommend it. She had matured as a writer and it is quite enjoyable although, as she said, it would have been better if she could have written it as she had wanted rather then under the constraints she set in the first three books.

However it is closer to the classic tale this way and I do respect the fact that she did not attempt to retcon her entire story line.

I enjoyed her accompanying essay (in the ppbk at least) about her research into the legends. And it’s tough to come up with something new that fits into the whole cloth.
