BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — A Butler County sheriff’s deputy was taken to the hospital after reportedly being stabbed early Thursday afternoon.
According to the sheriff’s office, a deputy responded to find a “vehicle fully engulfed in flames.”
While guiding traffic around the fire, he was allegedly approached from behind by Phillip Lovely, 41, who reportedly lived at the location.
Lovely allegedly then grabbed Farthing and stabbed him in the back, telling him, “It’s your unlucky day,” according to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.
