The mysterious disappearance of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie’s mother is being investigated as a crime, authorities said Monday — citing “suspicious” circumstances at the 84-year-old woman’s home.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen around 9:45 p.m. Saturday at her million-dollar residence in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson, where officials found a “very concerning” scene, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said at a press conference.
“We know she didn’t just walk out of there. She did not leave on her own,” Nanos said.
She is very limited in her mobility,” he said — explaining the grandma “could not walk 50 yards on her own.
“We believe now, after we process that crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime, and we’re asking the community’s help,” Nanos said.
Authorities have been searching for the elderly matriarch since she was reported missing by her family late Sunday morning.

I can’t envision a scenario whereby she’s taken as an afterthought or spur of the moment decision.
If burglars happened upon her in the house, I would think that they would have left her in the house, either alive or dead.
To abduct her would seem to me like that was the plan all along.
It would be beneficial to the internet sleuths to know if anything of value was taken from the house other than mom.
Or taking her in order to get her bank account info, Id like to know if her bank accounts have been touched since she was taken..if they had broken into her house and lets say she was so scared she died of a massive heart attack, they would have just left here there, no reason to take the body away I dont know the whole thing is weird there must be cameras everywhere..its a nice community with mansions everywhere..heck even homes in Compton have cameras, so I dont see why this area wouldnt
There are reports that her purse and wallet, which I assume would have the ATM cards, were found in the house.
