The mysterious disappearance of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie’s mother is being investigated as a crime, authorities said Monday — citing “suspicious” circumstances at the 84-year-old woman’s home.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen around 9:45 p.m. Saturday at her million-dollar residence in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson, where officials found a “very concerning” scene, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said at a press conference.
“We know she didn’t just walk out of there. She did not leave on her own,” Nanos said.
She is very limited in her mobility,” he said — explaining the grandma “could not walk 50 yards on her own.
“We believe now, after we process that crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime, and we’re asking the community’s help,” Nanos said.
Authorities have been searching for the elderly matriarch since she was reported missing by her family late Sunday morning.

Her cousin lived just north in a mountainside palace with a heliport. A very strange place in every direction.

Cops have to look things over before the public gets a look-see. There may be a tell-tale clue they don't want to reveal. Lots of reasons we don't know much yet.
Maybe mom saw or knows something she shouldn’t.
The detectives should take a look at any lawyer run wife swapping or bdsm clubs within the HOA.

Agree. I'd start with the staff that were working in the home. Certainly the mother wasn't living on her own without help to take care of the place. They had no camera or security system inside or out of the house?

Have inlaws in Oro Valley and never saw any mansions there. Nice area with homes (adobe exterior, no wood siding) that blend/match the environment of the desert. Loved the home of the relatives as it was well suited inside and out for the desert...

Well Arizona IS a border state..but I dont see anyone taking a 84 yr old woman across the border. Since she relies on medication for her very survival and its already been two days, either she’s dead and buried somewhere in the desert or whoever has her went to a pharmacy and got the meds that she needs
Many illegal gangs survey wealthy targets with hidden cameras before they strike. Hack into protection systems. If it was illegals, the press will bury it. How’s that for good morning.
