What we’ve seen since June here in Los Angeles and seen across the country, we’re as frustrated as everybody else about the way that’s being done.”
The law went into effect on Jan. 1, but is not being enforced after the Justice Department mounted a challenge to its constitutionality, over the security risks it poses to agents.
The Department of Homeland Security has also said it won’t comply with the state law.

A Washington state lawmaker is asking President Donald Trump and the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate potential self-dealing and fraud within taxpayer subsidized programs that fund race-based housing grants, daycare subsidies and more.
As reported in recent weeks and months by The Center Square, state officials and majority Democrats have so far resisted efforts to call for investigations or outside audits.

Graham has introduced House Joint Memorial 4014, asking the Trump administration to get involved and start investigating grant programs and the state agencies responsible for doling out the funds.

“We support the rights of students to safely exercise their First Amendment rights,” Brian Heap, chief communications officer for Sacramento Unified School District, told The Center Square Friday. “We don’t encourage students to leave campus, but we also don’t impede them from doing so.”
Hundreds of students at high schools throughout California held walkouts Friday over immigration raids and the law enforcement-involved deaths of two people in Minneapolis.
Schools said they prefer students to stay on campus, but staff were not standing in their way. Students successfully walked out from high schools in cities varying from Los Angeles and Riverside in Southern California to San Francisco and Sacramento up north. They headed to off-campus marches and protests.

Heap added, “Students who participate will receive unexcused absences.”

Correspondence between Washington Commanders and Philadelphia 76ers owner Josh Harris and Epstein were included in the latest files released.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Harris had correspondence with Epstein after his guilty plea in 2008 for solicitation of prostitution with a minor, but prior to his arrest on child sex trafficking charges in 2019.
Reacting to the release of the files, a spokesperson for Harris said the businessman “never had an independent relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.”

Can’t make this up: some weeks ago, TECO (Tampa Electric) wrongfully moved a utility pole to the middle of a homeowner’s driveway, reported Spectrum News, channel 9.
According to the news presenter, the homeowner, who has been rebuilding the property, said that TECO said that she’d have to pay to remove it. The cost? 4700 dollars.
The reporter contacted TECO, and she was told that the pole will be moved back to its original location at no cost.
