The Great Awakening ('Freedom of Thought’), was designed and created not only as a backchannel to the public (away from the longstanding ‘mind’ control of the corrupt & heavily biased media) to endure future events through transparency and regeneration of individual thought (breaking the chains of ‘group-think’), but, more importantly, aid in the construction of a vehicle (a ‘ship’) that provides the scattered (‘free thinkers’) with a ‘starter’ new social-networking platform which allows for freedom of thought, expression, and patriotism or national pride (the feeling of love, devotion and sense of attachment to a homeland and alliance with other citizens who share the same sentiment).
When ‘non-dogmatic’ information becomes FREE & TRANSPARENT it becomes a threat to those who attempt to control the narrative and/or the stable.
When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.

The Democratic Party's initial platform draft had omitted references to "God" (specifically, language about "God-given potential") and to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, which were included in the 2008 platform. This sparked criticism from Republicans and some Democrats, prompting an amendment to reinstate both.

On September 5, 2012, convention chairman Antonio Villaraigosa (then mayor of Los Angeles) put the amendment to a voice vote on the convention floor. Per DNC rules, it required a two-thirds majority to pass. He called the vote three times because the "aye" (yes) and "no" responses were audibly close and contentious each time, with significant shouting of "no" from delegates opposed to the changes. After the third vote, Villaraigosa ruled that the amendment had passed, which led to widespread boos from the floor.

Video footage and multiple eyewitness accounts confirm the loud "no" shouts during the three votes and the subsequent booing.

The claim is essentially accurate, though it simplifies the context: the amendment covered both "God" and Jerusalem, and the "NO! NO! NO!" phrasing may dramatize the repeated "no" shouts across the three votes. President Obama reportedly personally requested the changes to the platform.

He might very well be right; but, the question is: How much will those USD be worth?

I believe we are turning from a strong deflationary phase of the American economy that began in about 1981—when Reagan/Volcker are credited with breaking the back of the inflation that had persisted for decades previous, including the roaring 1960s, OPEC crisis, stagflation etc.

For years I have been assuming that when this time arrived, it would be characterized by a period of revolutionary product changes and technology (check. see AI, Space, genetic medicine etc.) and by the beginning of a long-term bull market in commodities. I did not think it would be accompanied by really destructive inflation for at least 20 years or so.

HOWEVER, the recent epic breakouts of gold and silver are making me wonder if this part of my schedule may be flying out the window. Billionaire macro investor Ray Dalio, to name one, thinks this is the end of dollar hegemony and sign that the American Empire that was established 250 years ago is suffering from accelerating debasement of currency, an inevitable and unmistakable stage in the decline.

When currency loses its value, productive assets, including the factories represented by stock ownership do far better than holding cash.

The other major safe havens are real estate and precious metals.

I happen to think that the massive bull market in gold and silver, which may continue until a complete and lasting repricing is baked into the whole system, is ground zero for this turning point in the international financial system.

I think the Trump team is totally aware of all this, and is playing it beautifully on behalf of our nation; but it may be too much to ask for them to turn round the long-term forces at work, which includes the multi-decade destruction of education at all levels in America.

Sorry about the long answer, but in summary: I wouldn’t be surprised if the stock market continues to rise but personally believe the hot zone for wealth creation right now is with gold and silver mining stocks, with a possible diversification into copper and lithium miners if it starts to appear the fun is over in PMs.

Thank ya’all for all the dope on fixing knees. If nothing else it all confirms a bunch of directions that I don’t need to look into.

My own knees are just tight. They dont’ hurt, aren’t weak, not swollen, but I’m just not fast anymore.

From 25 to 55 I ran two miles every day which added up to something over 30,000 miles. Wore out three good dogs. After I quit playing ball it got obvious that I had to keep doing something to keep my playing weight. Just cutting back on groceries wasn’t going to be enough. When I saw myself picking up an extra pound or so I ran an extra mile until it was gone. Extra weight was never the problem since that is why I was running in the first place. I knew I was getting a problem when my dog looked back one day as if to say pick up the pace pokey.

In ‘98, for an un-related stinger, I saw my neighborhood chiropractor who suggested I try glucosamine so I did: One a day for about a month. The knees got so tight I could barely walk. Quit until the knees loosened up which took a few weeks. But I saw the stuff had an effect so I went to one a week for the past quarter century.

The local orthoquacks don’t want anything to do with my knees. A few years ago my regular doc did a set of x-rays on both knees, all around. Found nothing wrong. No missing calcium and nothing out of place. I haven’t lost any height so calcium doesn’t seem to be an issue. Without an obvious bone problem there’s no way I’m letting them hack on my knees. Not long ago they did a full length ultrasound on one leg looking for blood clots-—nothing there. Being a pilot as well as sometimes hurting myself I’ve had pretty much every analytical test known to the free world but they never find anything wrong except my sugar is on the higher end of normal. And that doesn’t bother the knees either.

This past year I upped my glucosamine dose a bit since it did seem to have an effect way back. Then I dug out my old Schwinn exercycle which I got half a century ago to pedal on rainy days. I ride it a few times a day just freewheeling, no load, and within a week it has seemed to loosen the knees a bit.

So that’s where I am at the moment: a little extra glucosamine and a bit of no-load exercise. I may try likker next. Good luck to you all feeling good and staying healthy.

Interesting...I had that same reason\issue when I originally filed for hearing loss disability.
I pulled my claim, as guys were still coming home from Iraq/Afghanistan tore up. They needed it more than me.
A person at V.A. said i should have kept it open...re: funds - if we don’t use it, we lose it.
I haven’t decided to refile. I have all my SF180 records showing multiple ear\hearing loss treatments.

That said, I filed for V.A. Agent Orange disability and was approved @ 70%. 2 Other diseases were approved, both at 0%.
