I see the Daily Fail is still pushing this line of crap.

He showed up and started interfering with federal law enforcement. Strike One.

Armed. Strike Two.

He then violently resisted arrest. Strike Three.

Whether he was going for his gun or not was a judgment the federal officers on the scene had to judge for themselves. He put himself in the position to get shot with three incredibly stupid decisions without which, it never would have happened. That’s the bottom line.

I watched the video. It was hard to see the details of what was happening during the ongoing struggle with Pretti. It shows what looks like an officer grabbing Pretti’s gun from his waistband. Seconds later you hear shots delivered into his back; killing him. Perhaps the shooter did not see Pretti’s gun get taken and thought he could easily grab his gun. With Pretti’s back to the officer, the gun in his waistband would be hidden and, in seconds, Pretti could have grabbed it and start shooting. In fact, when the gun was no longer in his waistband (because another officer had taken it) the officer thought Pretti had it in his hand. With his hand moving around so fast, he couldn’t tell it was his phone. There was only a spit second to react before Pretti started shooting.
