I watched the video. It was hard to see the details of what was happening during the ongoing struggle with Pretti. It shows what looks like an officer grabbing Pretti’s gun from his waistband. Seconds later you hear shots delivered into his back; killing him. Perhaps the shooter did not see Pretti’s gun get taken and thought he could easily grab his gun. With Pretti’s back to the officer, the gun in his waistband would be hidden and, in seconds, Pretti could have grabbed it and start shooting. In fact, when the gun was no longer in his waistband (because another officer had taken it) the officer thought Pretti had it in his hand. With his hand moving around so fast, he couldn’t tell it was his phone. There was only a spit second to react before Pretti started shooting.
The point is that he had a gun. The liberal narrative is that he was an unarmed ICU nurse.
