Interestingly, Tasha slipped out the night before she passed away, and I couldn't find her, but she came back to the door later--she obviously was cold. When I left for work the next day, she was asleep

I understand that kidney disease is a a common killer of older cats. It is difficult to detect until symptoms appear in its advanced stages, when it is too late.

Whan I adopted her at 13, from a neighbor who was moving away, I knew I wouldn't have her for long.
