Security would be the ones in trouble....

Churches have a legal obligation to protect congregants from foreseeable harm, requiring reasonable security measures like training, emergency plans, and physical security.

I do not disagree with that. I am saying the Leftists in government all over are on the sides of criminals. Victims have become the ones that get in trouble.

what are the requirements for a church to receive federa lfunding for security porposes

To receive federal funding for security purposes, churches typically apply through the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) administered by FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This program is designed to help nonprofit organizations — including houses of worship — enhance their physical security against potential terrorist or extremist threats.

🛡️ Key Requirements for Churches to Qualify

  • 501(c)(3) Status: The church must be a registered nonprofit under IRS rules.

  • Demonstrated Risk: Applicants must show they are at high risk of terrorist attack or targeted violence. This can include:

    • Documented threats or incidents

    • Hate crimes or vandalism

    • Geographic or symbolic significance

  • Facility Ownership or Lease: Churches can apply whether they own or lease their building. Multiple sites may be eligible under the same nonprofit umbrella.

  • Security Assessment: A formal risk assessment or vulnerability analysis is often required to justify the need for funding.

  • Detailed Project Proposal: The application must include:

    • Specific security upgrades (e.g., cameras, access control, fencing)

    • Budget estimates

    • Timeline and implementation plan

  • Coordination with Local Authorities: Applicants are encouraged to align their security plans with local emergency preparedness efforts.

  • Compliance and Reporting: If awarded, the church must follow federal procurement rules, use approved vendors, and submit progress reports.

💰 Funding Amounts

  • Up to $150,000 per site

  • Maximum of three sites per organization

  • Total potential funding: $450,000

  • Amounts vary annually based on federal budget
