Same for me. I was reading Drudge Report while Monica was under BJC’s desk and they listed FR as a good site. Drudge has lost it’s mind, but I’m still here.
Must confess I voted for BJC, and right after, quit uber-stressful job at publishing compamy on East Coast and listened to Rush Limbaugh on the radio all the way to San Francisco. By the time I got there, I was a Republican and never looked back.
In 1996 I quit a stupid job and started up a company in my basement that went nowhere.
But I heard Rush for the first time on the Heathkit radio I built in 1973.
Rush would say things I had been thinking for decades, but I had never heard anyone else say out loud. Suddenly, I was not alone.
Modern Conservatism as a movement came out of the shadows because of Rush. We could say what we thought because we finally knew we were not crazy and alone.
