Celtic languages are (or used to be) in two smaller families — the P-Celts (Brythonic — Welsh, Cornish, possibly Pictish, Gallic/Galatian, Celtiberian) and the Q-Celts (Irish, Scottish, Manx), based on relative uses of P/B vs Q/K. Ap/Ab or Map/Mab has the same use as Mac, for example.
