Funny you mention Jennifer Lawrence in a discussion of DiCaprio. We watched “Look Up” last night, I actually enjoyed it. It was kind of “Idiocracy” meets “When Worlds Collide”.
I doubt if I’ll watch anything nominated let alone anything winning an award.
I tend to watch foreign language stuff on MHZ Choice, Netflix and hacked stuff off Daily Motion.
NOT because it’s less woke although with what’s coming out of LaLa land it might be.
The acting is much better because they don’t have a “star” system and the actors and actresses are more committed to their profession than becoming a celebrity who are deluded into thinking that their audience actually gives a **** about their political beliefs.
That and the location filming gives you an insight into what’s happening to European culture which should serve as warning to the good ‘ol USA.
When I do watch American, it’s the old stuff.
Recently watched Miller’s Crossing on You Tube for free and that was one fine film, probably the Coen Brothers best IMHO.
Found out Mullholland Drive is now on Tubi and looking forward to rewatching one of David Lynch’s best works.
I liked a lot of Thomas Paul Anderson’s stuff particularly Hard Eight, but I doubt if I catch this latest film as I hear he went real woke.

DeCaprio doesn’t want to get married because he doesn’t want to get divorced and lose half his stuff. Plus hes attracted to a certain age range. Most guys cant keep doing that long term, but he can. The women are with him because they want to be.

Words mean things. Shes using the veneer of comedy to go after someone she doesn’t like. Shes weaponizing comedy to call out someones behavior she disapproves of.
To a man over 40, there really shouldn't be too much difference: he should recognize that both are too young for him.
