I don’t know why anyone goes to Disneyland even without the threat of being attacked. You have to mortgage your house to afford it. The lines are extremely long. Its overcrowded. Food and lodging is a ripoff. And then you have people who can cut in line legally with a superpass. My step-brother and his family used to go every two years and it cost them a fortune. I never understood it.
I have never been to either of their parks. And I shan’t go.
Agreed. Give me Disneyland circa 1968 (my first visit) and I’d happily go.
I went to Disneyland in 1965 and again in 2005. Not due to go again until 2045.
I don’t get it either. It’s real loser stuff. I want nothing to do with Disney or Disney +. Won’t allow any Disney sh*t in my home.
My stock answer to that and sports and Hollywood is—that this country has an absolute insatiable appetite to be entertained. Very sad.
When I was in Los Angeles nearly two years ago, I went to the Reagan and Nixon libraries and museums, the Huntington, the Getty, and a few other places. The cost of most if not all of the tickets I bought probably would have equaled the cost of one adult into Disneyland, lol.
I had one family tell me how much they spent on going to Disneyland. A couple years of that = a new car or house renovation.
What a waste of money.
Yeah. Nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowded. :-)
It was cheaper and nicer in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
No desire to go to one of those parks & it’s more than unlikely that I ever will be. I had enough of standing in lines & troublemakers in lines when I was in the military & that was nothing like the scenario pictured here. Not understanding why anyone would put up with that stuff for a lousy park ride.
